Amanda Halcott holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts from McDaniel College in Maryland, where she was born and raised. She spent four years on tour with the Missoula Children’s Theatre, spending her days teaching children to perform and her nights crocheting hats and trinkets to give away to her students. Amanda thinks art is innately human and for everyone of all ages. She hopes you will come to be “hooked” on crochet like she is.
Guardians and their kiddos come learn to crochet together! Through crocheting your own hat to take home and wear forever, you will learn the basics of crochet, including reading
patterns, basic stitches, proper tension, and how to choose the right yarn and hook. Before you know it, you’ll be “hooked!” By the end of this class, you will be equipped to find any
basic pattern and make it yourself!
