Ubaka Hill, Percussion Orchestra of Kingston (P.O.O.K)

Ubaka Hill is a visionary artist, performer, poet, singer/songwriter and teacher of hand drumming for over 30 years.  She has taught hundreds of new and experienced drummers in the United States and internationally.  Ubaka teaches and performs at festivals, conferences, drum camps and community events.  She brings her creative talent, skills and mastery to the Omega Institute, The Dance Flurry,  NY Open Center and recently at the Kingston Juneteenth, Kingston Kidsfest and the Kingston Black History Month events.  Ubaka is the founder of the Million Women Drummers Global Initiative and the Drumsong Museum.  Ubaka is an oil painter, graphic artist and has recorded 3 Cds.  Learn more about Ubaka Hill from her website at UbakaHilldrumsong.com
